Service Background

      Relevant technical committees of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have developed the ISO 8124 series of toy safety standards. This series mainly regulates safety requirements for toys in terms of mechanical, physical, chemical and flammability aspects and does not cover electrical safety. Electrical safety for electric toys falls under the jurisdiction of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). IEC 62115 specifically stipulates safety requirements for toys with at least one electrically powered function.

Scope of Application

      Applicable to all toys: products designed or intended to be used for play by children under 14 years of age.
